Dr. Susheel Gundewar is the Medical Director and Interventional Cardiologist at Oxygen Hospitals, Hyderabad.

He has performed several thousand coronary, peripheral arterial and cardiac structural interventions.  Additionally, he has carried out original research to develop new drugs for treatment of heart disease. He has presented his work at American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology meetings and has several important publications to his credit. His research has been published in  several important peer-reviewed cardiology journals with numerous citations.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is also  a member of Cardiovascular Society of India and is registered as an Interventional Cardiologist by the Delhi and Andhra Pradesh Medical Council.

Dr.Susheel Gundewar received his M.B.B.S degree at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 2002. He completed his training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York. He was chosen to complete an advanced cardio-endovascular interventions fellowship at Emory University, the birthplace of interventional cardiology in the United States. He is one of the few select cardiologists who is American Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology , Vascular Interpretation, Echocardiography and Interventional Cardiology.

Dr.Susheel Gundewar returned in 2012 to India to pursue his lifelong dream of making a positive difference in healthcare delivery in India and is a Founder Director of Oxygen Hospitals, Hyderabad.
